PLANTAS DE LA FORMACI ON KACHAIKE, CRETACICO DE LA PROVINCIA DE SANTA CRUZ
Abstract
Two new fossiliferous localities with paleo flora are studied here. They are located in the eastern side of the Tucu-Tucu valley, in the Rio Chico Department, Province of Santa Cruz. The levels with paleoflora are from the lower part as the Kachaike Formation. The following species have identified: Hausmania (Prutorhipis) papilio Feruglio, Gleichenites san martinii Halle, Cladophlebis patagonica FrengueiiL Cladophlebis aff. C. haibzmzensis (L. y H.) Brongniart, Ptiloplzyllum acutifolium Morris, Ptilophyllum? sp, Pseudoctenis ensiformis Halley Pseudoctenis sp. Based in an associated ammonite fauna, together with 'correlations with previous known megaflora from the Baquero Formation, Lago San Martin and Arroyo La Potranquita, an aptian age is assigned to the studied flora from Cerro Mirador and La Florida.Downloads
