Platycopina (Ostracoda) del Neocomiano en el sector oriental de la cuenca Neuquina, Argentina
Abstract
Neocomian platycopid ostracods from the eastern Neuquén Basin, central-western Argentina, are described and illustrated. Ten species were recovered, three of which are new: Cytherella montosaensis sp. nov., Cytherella prcjundosulcaui sp. nov. and Cytherelloidea porpe sp. nov. The microfauna seems to typify a marginal marine environment, with warm-temperate to subtropical waters, normal salinity levels, low energy regime and of la te Berriasian- Valanginian age.Downloads
