TRILOBITES SILURICOS DE LA FORMACION LOS ESPEJOS, SECTOR OCCIDENTAL DEL CERRO DEL FUERTE, PRECORDILLERA DE SAN JUAN, ARGENTINA
Abstract
A new trilobite fauna from Los Espejos Fonnation is described in this paper; it has been collected in western slope of Cerro del Fuerte, Jáchal Department. The following trilobites are described and illustrated: Calymene vallecitoensis n. sp.,Dalmanites cf. D. sudamericanas Benedetto y Martel, 1976; Dalmanites sp. 1; Dalmanites sp. 2; Leonaspis crenata Bruton, 1967; Leonaspis? sp., as well as many trilobites of subfamilies Calmoninae and Synphoriinae. On the other hand, the species Phacopsargentinus Thomas, 1905, whose morphology was partially known is redescribed.Downloads
