It is made up of sandstones and shales of about 500 m thick, partially intruded by basic volcanic rocks. Tha shales bears a graptolite association composed of Dicranograptus sp. Glyplograptus cf. G. intersitus Harris & Thomas, Retiograptus sp., and Climacograptus sp.
