PRESENCIA DE UNA GRAPTOFAUNA LLANDEILIANO - CARADOCIANA EN LA FORMACION ALCAPARROSA, DEL FLANCO OCCIDENTAL DE LA SIERRA DEL TONTAL (PRECORDILLERA DE SAN JUAN)
Abstract
An Ordovician sequence (Late Llandeilian - Early Caradocian) has been found in the westem slope of the Sierra del Tontal (Alcaparrosa Formation). It is made up of sandstones and shales of about 500 m thick, partially intruded by basic volcanic rocks. Tha shales bears a graptolite association composed of Dicranograptus sp. Glyplograptus cf.
