ANDITRIGONIA KEIDELI (WEAVER) N. COMB. (TRIGONIIDAE-BIVALVIA) DEL JURÁSICO MEDIO DEL NEUQUÉN, ARGENTINA
Abstract
Anditrigonia keideli (WEAVER) N. COMB. (TRIGONIIDAE-BIVALVIA.) FROM THE MIDDLE JURASSIC OF NEUQUÉN, ARGENTINA. - Anditrigonia keideli (Weaver) n. comb. is described in this paper. This species was originally designated by Weaver as Trigonia literata Young & Bird var. keideli n. var. on the basis of material collected by this author in the Lajas Formation, 9 km northwest of the Cerro Pícún Leufú, southern Neuquén province, Argentina. Posteriorly, Lambert described as Trigonia chacaicoensis n. sp. specimens collected by him in the same Formation, in the Chacaicó area, situated 35km southwest of the former place. Comparisson of material collected by the present authors in the above mentioned localities confirms the synonymy of both names, thus retaining the older one by priority. On the basis of the associated fauna, the age of A. keideli (Weaver) n. combo is regarded as Middle Bajocian to Lower Callovian.Downloads
