Abstract

Ginkgophyllum diazii n. sp. and Ginkgophyllum criciumensis (Rigby ) nov. comb. are described. The first species has been found in the Quebrada La Cébila, Ambato Mountains, Trampeadero Formation; its age is probably Uppermost Carboniferous (Trampeaderense Stage of the local scale). The second species was found in the Sierra de los Llanos, Arroyo Totoral Formation of Lower Permian age (or Lubeckense Stage of the local scale ). A discussion on the form genus Ginkgophyllum is included.
