NOTA SOBRE LOS TOXODONTES (TOXODONTIDAE, NOTUNGULATA) DEL CUARTARIO DE CORRIENTES, ARGENTINA
Abstract
Stratigraphie and lithologic informaticn is given of the Yupoí Formation (Upper Middle o Lowermost Upper Pleistocene = Ensenadense superior o Lujanense inferior) which bears an assemb1age of vertebrate fossils, from these, only toxodonts are described and it is concluded that they main1y belong to Toxodon gezi a specie originaily described by Carlos Ameghino also from Corrientes. The specie appears to be different from the others P1eistocene toxodonts. A complete revision of argentine pleistocene toxodonts is urged.Downloads
