Abstract

La Formación La Amarga contiene una microasociación de ostrácodos y charophytas de valor estratigráfico, cuya edad es asignada al Barremiano. Se analizan evidencias que indican ambiente de depositación continental para las sedimentitas de la Form. La Amarga y ausencia de hiato estratigráfico entre ésta y la subyacente Form. Agrio. Se describen cinco nuevas especies del género Cypridea - todas del tipo "inverso" - y una especie asignada al género Clinocypris.
