SOBRE EL PALEOMICROPLANCTON DEL TERCIARIO INFERIOR DE RIO TURBIO, PROVINCIA DE SANTA CRUZ
Abstract
Six species are described from the Ri?o Turbio Formation (Eocene); they are, Hystrichosphaera buccina Davey et Williams, Turbiospbaera [ilosa (Wilson) nov. combo (the new genus is intended for species having precingular archaeopyle and taeniate processes which are differentiated in size, the apical being the biggest and the cingular the srnallest ) Polystephanephorus? sarrissii n. sp., Thalassiphora pelagica (Eisenack ) Eisenack et Gocht, Aiora fenestrata (Deflandre et Cookson) Cookson et Eisenack and Cleistospbacridium bergmannii n. sp. The distribution of some taxa. described, in this and a previous contribution, indica te s two different associations which correspond to the lo wer and the upper sections of the Turbio Formation.Downloads
