Crinoideos de la subclase Camerata (Camptocrininae, Dichocrinidae y Glyptocrinina) de la cuenca Tepuel-Genoa, Paleozoico superior de la Patagonia, Argentina
Abstract
Resumen. Restos de crinoideos asignados a la subclase Camerata se describen para la cuenca de Tepuel-Genoa, ubicada en la Patagonia occidental argentina. Entre las formas halladas se encuentran fragmentos de cálices pertenecientes a la subfamilia Camptocrininae, la familia Dichocrinidae y el suborden Glyptocrinina. El material incluye restos de tallos de camptocrínidos tanto en niveles carboníferos como pérmicos, teniendo un registro más temprano en la Patagonia que en Australia. Este diacronismo en los crinoideos del Gondwana austral permite suponer la migración de las faunas en sentido oeste-este, en vinculación con el desplazamiento de las condiciones glaciales en ese mismo sentido. Las nuevas especies descriptas son: Camptocrinus mollensis sp. nov., ø Camptocrinus patagoniensis sp. nov., ø Camptocrinus bezouglovae sp. nov. y ø Camptocrinus olartei sp. nov. Abstract. CRINOIDS OF THE SUBCLASS CAMERATA (CAMPTOCRININAE, DICHOCRINIDAE AND GLYPTOCRININA) FROM THE TEPUEL-GENOA BASIN, UPPER PALAEOZOIC OF PATAGONIA, ARGENTINA. Camerate crinoids are described from the Tepuel Genoa basin, western Argentine Patagonia. The material consists of fragmented calyxes belonging to the subfamily Camptocrininae, family Dichocrinidae and suborder Glyptocrinina. They were found at several localities and horizons of Late Carboniferous and Early Permian age. The dichocrinids and camptocrinids have an earlier record in Patagonia than in Australia. This diachronism of southern Gondwana crinoids favours the interpretation of the migration of faunas from west to east, following the proposed similar shift of glacial conditions. New species described are: Camptocrinus mollensis sp. nov., ø Camptocrinus patagoniensis sp. nov., ø Camptocrinus bezouglovae sp. nov. and ø Camptocrinus olartei sp. nov.Downloads
