This paper is a brief contribution to the taxonomy of the still poorly known Ordovician lingulate brachiopods of Argentina. A linguliform brachiopod fauna from the Las Plantas Formation (Sandbian, Ordovician) in the northern Precordillera, west-central Argentina, is described for the first time. The large obolid Anomaloglossa and the pitted obolid Foveola are recorded. In addition, a new species of the microbrachiopod Acrotreta calabozoi n. sp. is described and illustrated.Downloads
