Ostrácodos de la Formación Monte León (Oligoceno Tardío-Mioceno Temprano) del noreste de Gobernador Gregores, Santa Cruz, Argentina
Abstract
The study of ostracods from the northeast region of Gobernador Gregores (Santa Cruz Province) is presented. Thirteen genera and fifteen cytheracean species from El Martillo section are recognized. They are scarce and not well preserved. Eight taxa were previously known and four species are placed in their respective genera using open nomenclature. All the ostracods are modera te to strongly calcified, most are delicately ornamented, and medium or small in size. The microfauna is late Oligocene-early Miocene in age and suggests a coastal neritic depositional environment.Downloads
