NUEVOS REGISTROS PALEOFLORÍSTICOS PARA LA FORMACIÓN AGUA COLORADA, CARBONÍFERO SUPERIOR, EN EL SECTOR SUDORIENTAL DE LA SIERRA DE FAMATINA, PROVINCIA DE LA RIOJA, ARGENTINA
Abstract
Two plant assemblages associated with lacustrine and fluvial deposits have be en recorded for a number of localities of the Agua Colorada Formation. The following taxa were identified: Bumbudendron versiforme Gutierrez et al., cf. Malanzania sp., Calamites? sp., Paracalamites austral is Rigby, Botrychiopsis weissiana Kurtz emend. Archangelsky & Arrondo, Eusphenopteris sanjuanina (Kurtz) Césari ernend. Césari et al., Fedekurtzia argentina (Geinitz) Archangelsky,Nothorhacopteris argentinica (Geinitz) Archangelsky, Dychophylum? flabellifera (Weiss) Kerp & Haubold, Ginkgophyllum diazii Archangelsky & Arrondo emend. Archangelsky & Leguizamón, Cordaites riojanus Archangelsky & Leguizamón, Cordaites sp. A, Cordaicarpus cesariae Gutierrez et al., Cordaicarpus famatinensis Gutierrez et al., Samaropsis sp. A Gutierrez et al .Forma A (ginkgoalean) and Forma B (incertae sedis). They are inc1uded in the NBG paleofIoristic zone, and considered to be of Late Carboniferous age.Downloads
