LOS FORAMINIFEROS PLANCTONICOS (PROTOZOA) DE LAS "LUTITAS DE RIO FOYEL" (OLIGOCENO MEDIO BAJO), CUENCA DE ÑIRIHUAU-ÑORQUINCO-CUSHAMEN, PROVINCIA DE RIO NEGRO, ARGENTINA
Abstract
The planktonic foraminifera found in the lithologic section which is exposed on the left margin of the Foyel river, Ñirihuau-Ñorquinco-Cushamen Basin, are described. The planktonic foraminiferal assemblage indicates a low Middle Oligocene age based principally on the presence of Globigerina eocaena, G. ampliapertura, G. anguliofficinalis and G. ciperoensis, which in the studied section occur in the same stratigraphic interval. For the studied entity a lithostratigraphic formal name should be proposed.Downloads
