EL GENERO ANNAMITELLA MANSUY, 1920 (TRILOBITA, LEIOSTEGIIDAE) EN EL ORDOVICICO DE LA PRECORDILLERA ARGENTINA
Abstract
THE GENUS ANNAMITELLA MONSUY, 1920 (TRILOBITA, LEIOSTEGIIDAE) IN THE ORDOVICIAN OF ARGENTINE PRECORDILLERA. The stratigraphical distribution of the three species of the genus Annamitella is established along the Ordovician San Juan and Gualcamayo Formations. The specimens were collected from several localities of the Precordillera Basin, Western Argentina. Two new species of the genus Annamitella, A. harringtoni n. sp. and A. forteyi n. sp. are described and illustrated. Annamitella tellecheai (Rusconi) is reviewed and figured. The age of A. tellecheai Zone is discussed and the biostratigraphic significance of the species herein described is analyzed.Downloads
