Ostrácodos marinos de la Formación La Despedida (Eoceno), Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
Abstract
The results of studies on Ostracoda from the La Despedida Formation are reported. The ostracodes are few in number, and fairly to well preserved. A total of 20 genera and 32 species has been identified and 9 species are questionably placed in their respective genera. Most caparaces are omamented, medium in size, moderately to strongly calcified and with anfidont hinge types. The ostracodes suggest a shallow marine environment with modera te energy levels and temperate to temperate-warm temperature.Downloads
