Abstract

A new genus and species of Boidae proceeding from the Early Eocene (Casamayoran Land Mammal Age ) of Cañadón Hondo, Chubut Province, Argentina, is described. This presence in the Early Eocene of Patagonia, together with Madtsoia and a genus indet. from Colhué Huapi, evidence, for this age, a greater diversity of the Boidae family that the supposed until the present.
