AbstractFOSSIL RECORDS OF Carcharodon carcharias (LINNÉ, 1758) (ELASMOBRANCHII, LAMNIFORMES) FROM ARGENTINA.- A tooth of C. carcharias from the Quaternary marine ingressions of Pehuencó, Buenos Aires, Province, Argentina, is described. "C. rondeleti" in Frenguelli (1920, 1922) probably corresponds to Procarcharodon megalodon (Ag.), Carcharias pampeanus Ameghino, 1898 is a synonym of C. carcharias.
