REVISION DE ZYGOCHLAMYS (MOLLUSCA: BIVALVIA)

Abstract

En este trabajo se considera válido al género Zygochlamys Ihering 1907 y se lo separa de Chlamus S.S., como así también del grupo de especies postmíocenas principalmente subantárticas. Se describen 6 especies Zygochlamys jorgensis (Ih.), Z. quemadensis (Ih.), Z. nodosoplicata (Ih.), Z. dominator n.sp., Z. sebastiani n.sp. y Z. nícolasi n.sp. Se deja en suspenso la denominación de Z. geminatus (Sowerby). Finalmente se propone una biozona: Zona de Z. dominator para los niveles superiores del Miembro Meseta Chica de la Fm. San Julián (Bertels 1970).
