Abstract

This paper offers the first descriptions and illustrations of Cretaceous plant remains from Lake Fontana area, Chubut Province, Argentina. These remains are: Scleropteris (?) sp. Cladophlebis (?) sp., Taeniopteris dissecta n. sp., Ptilophyllum aff. antarcticum (Halle) Seward and Ptilophyllum sp. They come from the Apeleg Formation regarded as Hauterivian-Barremian in age.
