Abstract

The present papel' deals with the study of a brackísh-dater ostracod fauna from the Allen Formation in the Lago Pellegrini area (Río Negro province). The microfauna is assigned to the Upper Cretaceou s (Lower Maastrichtian ): Eight species are recognízed; a new genus, Allenocytheridea, and t hree new species are described.
