ENSAYO DE ANALISIS PALEOECOLOGICOS CON TRILOBITES ORDOVICICOS ARGENTINOS
Abstract
A paleoecological analysis based on trilobites of the Lower Ordovicic of Argentina allowed to establish the presence of the Illaenid-Cheiruric.Nileidic and Olenid communities as described by Fortey from sediments of Spitzbergen, Ireland and USA. It is shown that the communities are linked to the schemes of fondo, clino and unda facies in Northern Argentina. In the Precordillera of San Juan it is possible to verify the variability of communities at the top of San Juan Formation, and to establish the critical conditions for the genus Mendolaspis, which are similar to those given for Spitzbergen.Downloads
