PALINOLOGIA ESTRATIGRAFICA DEL TITONIANO (FORMACION VACA MUERTA) EN EL AREA DE CAICHIGÜE (CUENCA NEUQUINA)

Abstract

This part deals with the description of the first Upper Jurassic microfloras frorn South America. Fifty seven palinomorph species frorn seven microfIoristic associations, found in gray shales and distributed within the lowermost 160 m of the local Tithonian sequence, belong to the following genera: Deltoidospora, Todisporites, Dictyopbyllidites, Biretisporites, Stereisporites, Grr.ndatisporites, Verrucosisporites, Uuaesporites, Leptolepidites, Anapiculatisporites, Hamulatisporis, Ap pendicisporites, Lycopodiumsporues, Trilobosporites, Interulobites, Duplexisporites,Polyctngulatisporites, Taurocusporites, Contignisporires, Punctatosporites, Callialasporites, Alisporites,Podocarpidues, Pbrixipollenites, Microcachryídites, Trisaccites, Dacrycarpites, Inaperturopollenites,Inapertisporites, Araucariacites, Classopollis, Exesipollenites, Cycadopites, Monosulcites,Equisetosporites, Eucommiidites. New taxa: Lnterulobites uariabilis, Equisetosporites caichigüensis. In a second part the marine species will be described.
