POLEN DE GIMNOSPERMAS (CONIFERAS) DEL CRETACICO SUPERIOR Y PALEOCENO DE PATAGONIA
Abstract
"The present paper deals with the description of the Conifer pollen grains found in several sections of Maestrichtian and Paleocene ages in Patagonia (Argentina and Chile). The species are: Classopollis sp. 1 and 2, Araucariacites sp., Podocarpidites microreticuloidata Cookson, P. marwickii Couper, P. sp. 1 and 2, P. psilasaccus nov. sp., Phyllocladidttes mawsonii Cookson, Dacrydiumites florinii Cookson, Microcachrydites antarcticus Cookson, Dacrycarpites cf. australiensis Cookson et Pike and Trisaccites microsaccatum (Couper) Couper. Finally, stratigraphic and palaeoclimatic conclusions are discussed in relation to the presence of some species in other younger forrnations of the same area (Eocene-Oligocene)."Downloads
