CYANOLISEUS ENSENADENSIS (CATTOI) NOV. COMB (AVES, PSITTACIFORMES) DEL PLEISTOCENO MEDIO DE LA PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AIRES

Abstract

The type material of Pionus ensenadensis Cattoi, 1957 from middle Pleistocene of Buenos, Aires Province; Argentina,' is restudied. It is concluded that it has been erroneously placed in Pionus, and belongs to the genus Cyanoliseus. The differences between Cyanoliseus ensenadensis and the actual species C. patagonus are stressed.
