MICROTHYRIALES (FUNGI, ASCOMYCETES) FOSILES DEL CRETACICO INFERIOR DE LA PROVINCIA DE SANTA CRUZ, ARGENTINA
Abstract
The author describes four Mycrothyriales (Fungi, Ascomycetes) found in fossil state in the Baquero? Formation, Lower Cretaceous of Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. Two are new: Mycrothyriacites baqueroensis nov. sp. and Breieldiellites argentina nov. sp.; the third, Trichopeltinites pulcher has been previously described for the Tcrtiary of Australia. One fourth form, which belongs to the same Order could not be generically identified because of the lack of characters. These are the oldest representatives of the Mycrothyriales so far descri bed.Downloads
