UN NUEVO CONDYLARTHRA (MAMMALIA) DE EDAD CASAMAYORENSE DE PASO DE LOS INDIOS (CHUBUT, ARGENTINA) BREVES CO SIDERACIONES SOBRE LA EDAD CASAMAYORENSE
Abstract
A new Casamayomn Condylarthra from Paso de los Indios (Chubut, Argentina). Short considerations about the Casamayoran Age. - A mandible fragment of a Casamayoran Condylarthra is described. Its relatíonshíp with the of the Southamerican Condylarthra are discussed, recognizing some morphological characters structurally ancestral to the Polymorphinae Símpson, 1945, of the Mustersan. The Polymorphinae are consídered as an adaptive type of the Litopterna similar to the Adianthidae respect to the Macraucheníídae. Finally a short discussion about the Casamayoran age is made, appearing to the author practicable its division into some least geochronological entities, of wich the Formation of Paso de los Indios could represent one of the younger.Downloads
