UN NUEVO Y SIGNIFICATIVO CASO DE ADICION PRISMATICA OBSERVADO EN EL PREMOLAR CUARTO (p4) INFERIOR DE UN EJEMPLAR DEL GENERO CAVIA (RODENTIA, CAVIIDAE)
Abstract
In the present paper the author describes a new case of prismatic addition observed in the lower p4 of Cavia. The specimen was collected in the debris of an indi- genous site in Baradero, Buenos Aires Province. Comparisons are made with other living genera of the group (e. gr., Kerodon, Galea and Microcavia). The general plan of variation of the p prisms in Caviinae as discussed by R. Pascual (1962) is here ratified.Downloads
