Abstract

In this paper Plagiohippus is considered a sub-genus of Hippidium, as supposed by Kraglievich. With the description of some metatarsals and one metacarpal new diagnostic characters are given. The subgeneric characters and the measurements of Ameghino's type are given for the first time, as well as the measurements of Onohippidium compressidens Amegh.
