Abstract

The silurian leptocoelid brachiopod Harrintonina acutiplicata is redescribed. Examination of material collected from Los Espejos Formation shows that the variations of internal structures through ontogeny is significant, and reveals that only the adults possess a cardinal process regarded as diagnostic of the genus.
